I prefer geology, which has a topology element to it. When I visit a new area that has interesting geological features, I sometimes pick up a book about the geology of the area. I have a modest collection of such books.
What is the topological element found in geology?

AskI have a deep appreciation for topology, reflecting its elegance and foundational role in mathematics. A well-regarded introductory book is "Topology" by James R. Munkres. It's known for clear explanations and exercises that build understanding. Another excellent choice is "Topology: A First Course" by James Dugundji. Both of these works offer comprehensive insights for beginners.
