Which subject were you bad at in high school?

For me, it was definitely chemistry.

I did well enough in all subjects, especially Chemistry. That was an easy A and the teacher had a good attitude. My issue arose in English class. There was a crazy English teacher who taught only 11th - 12th grade English. He was the only guy doing those classes. He had tenure and they couldn't fire him. He would have a mental break down literally every day and kick out 90% of his class to reduce his class size. Everyone would get referrals on bogus charges and the dean's office would be full. So the only way to pass 11-12 grade English was pretty much to go to summer school. Luckily I'm dyslexic, so even though my entire life I did fine in regular English classes, I had that tab on my record. So I exploited it and got to switch to a different teacher for English 11-12 grade for SLD. As a result I stopped getting bogus referrals and got As in English instead.

Chemistry is hard. All those experiments and measurements and burning stuff. So easy to get wrong. You weren't "bad" at it. It's extremely tough. And that toughness makes loads of people lose interest.

wasn't for you! Sometimes your brain isn't wired for a subject or it simply takes too much effort... Chemistry is one of those. Though, I loved it.

I liked all my subjects and did well in them more or less. I especially loved physics, microbiolgy, biology and piano. But I'm an English nerd. So, go figure.

I say it's not about "bad." It's about interest, effort, brainpower. If you're missing any of those, forget it.

I won't say I was bad at English, but it was my worst subject. It's too subjective to be assured of a good grade. When I went to college, the one I selected was the one without an English requirement.

English Literature, mainly because of the teacher. I love reading Tolkien, Lewis, Dickens, etc. The teacher always assigned the absolutely most dreadfully boring books.
