I'd like to file my income tax early but don't have t4 and haven't even spoke to former employer in months?

i'd like to file early , i'm pretty sure i can file now ( in Canada ) as 2024 over and i have a pretty simple income tax report to file.

only issue is i'm missing a t4 slip from a former employer i haven't worked at since the end of summer and i haven't even spoke to them since. also not even sure if business still operational as owner told me she was closing it down back then.

its possible she is planning on mailing it to me although i've never got anything ever from her in the mail or email maybe?

i've yet to hear anything from her and its the end of the month feb 28th. i have no idea why she would not issue this form

filed income taxes today without the T4 from former employer as i never heard anything from her , got a refund of $500 so at least something , i got all my old pay stubs and added up an amount and used that instead

You can file already in the U. S. I already filed and got my refund.

i know that i can file , issue is i'm missing that piece of paper , other posts say by law they have to send it to me by end of February but its almost end of month so will see if anything shows , might have to try contacting her in March if it doesn't
