Is it wrong for an employer not to give his employees a lunch?

I recently started working at a furniture store. We Also rent out u hual equipment. I don't really get hungry through out the day, so it doesn't matter that much to me, but we don't get to take a lunch. We can keep something to eat in between customers, but that's it. Also to be honest, it can be a while in between customers, so it's almost like we get a half hour to an our lunch, unless it's a busy day. But during my interview, my employer said we can't take a lunch, like leave and get something, and come back.
