American English is my native language. I can also speak British, Canadian and Australian English. I can get by in Spanish and French. I know a little German and Mandarin Chinese. On a recent vacation, I learned a little Catalan and Icelandic.

At last count, I can order a beer in 7 languages.

Whenever I go to a foreign country, I try to learn a bit of the local language.
