How much money is enough for you?

How much money is enough for you to wear you can spend happily with out any worries and how much would be to much for you?

For me I feel like 2 to 3 mil would be enough for me to wear I could support me and my family where we don’t have to work anymore depending on how I spent it but not so much money that I end up like a lot of these millionaires that get into weird stuff.

If it were just me in my own I’d be how with a few hundred grand. But crazy to think that in the state I live in 500k. Is barely enough to hit a decent house. And when I see a decent house I mean like a nice big house in the suburbs not like a mansion.

I could probably be happy with a few million but a few billion would be great because then, I could afford to walk up to legit homeless people, give them a stack of money and say, "Go buy yourself a house!". I'd LOVE being filthy rich but I'm NOT greedy!!!

When I was younger my goal was 1 million to retire. Now I'm shooting for about 1.5 mill in 10 more years. But, we'll see what the market does. Theoretically if my portfolio continues to do what it's done for the past 25 years I could retire in as early as 4 years. Realistically speaking, I can't get Medicare for 15 more years and with the price of skyrocketing Healthcare making it prohibitive I'm in no real hurry to retire.

The 20,000 acre ranch I wanted to buy in New Mexico was $200 million. The cost of upkeep and property taxes alone would be ridiculous. I think I'll settle for a few acres
