Currently I'm unemployed and very satisfied 🙂

Yes.
My wonderful wife and I have been married now for almost 30 years.
We have a nice home with a view on 30 beautiful acres in a safe, quiet rural area just below the snow line. We have gardens, various fruit trees including citrus, as well as veggie gardens and herbs. Essential goods and services are very nearby and cities are less than 25 easy minutes away.
I'm retired. My wife is self employed as a hair stylist and still works part time in one of the nearby cities. She rents a cute room of her own at a nice salon and enjoys her work.
I'm satisfied with my life. My wife and I are very happy.
I just wish we had a bigger nest egg in case of emergencies, but we're doing okay financially.

Im comfortable where i am in life. But not happy. So no. I've gotten myself into that place where comfortable and easy feels nice but there is so much more I need to be doing and im not...

My position in life I feel like i am running a race because I know im going to win, I barely have to try. And I need to race faster people but well then I might lose.

So yea, im working up the courage to start a more difficult race.

Yes, I am satisfied. I guess not everything in my life is perfect and some of my earlier life decisions could have been different. But they were my decisions and I stand by them. I think that every person should be satisfied and grateful for what they have, even if it may not be much. But for them personally it always means everything.
I see a big mistake today that people are always chasing something more (especially money and property)

In some ways, I am.

As a recent retiree I'm very happy with where my life is but my main concern going forward is the potential health issues that come with old age. I do believe that you succumb to the same health problems as your same sex parent.
