If you don't do this after reading the book he's gonna know you didn't read it. Just read the damn thing and come up with your own words. Like I enjoyed the book a lot and wish you all the success. I particularly liked x y z... show that you read it or it's half assed. Just my opinion.

Or you could just say congratulations this is exciting. I can't wait to read it. I mean this isn't difficult but I get that you want to say something nice and that is also nice in of itself. Don't over think it... but read it!!!
