What (reputable) type of job have you never done that you think would have been interesting for you?

I was sharing a few workplace storied with a friend the other day and realized I've worked my way through a lot of different types of work (either as a volunteer or an intern or a standard employee) and he asked "Is there anything you HAVEN'T done?" ... I had to think about it. I think I've held almost every reputable type of job for at least a little while bc I had to raise a family alone and keep the roof over our heads, food on the table, and life moving forward...

What about you guys and gals?

There's a few I think I would have liked.

Being a psychologist seems pretty interesting because I've always been observant of peoples habits, patterns, tone of voice, and body language and how they might affect their overall personality and behavior. A couple of my exes mentioned that I should have been one, the way I analyze them and people around me. And when I meet people and share facts I've learned about psychology, they occasionally ask if I'm a psychiatrist (because most people confuse the 2 and think psychiatry is the job where you sit down and talk to someone).

Being an architect was my goal for a while. I've always liked design and I've always considered myself relatively creative. It would have been very satisfying to see my designs come to life and driving by my work, knowing many people are also seeing and potentially appreciating them.

I think being a researcher would have also been fun. I imagine going to a lab each day and trying to discover some revolutionary breakthrough on a biological level, looking at cells and how they interact with each other and their patterns, etc. I don't think there's a better feeling knowing you contributed heavily to the progress in society by say... finding one of the factors that might potentially cure hearing loss or blindness, etc.

That being said, I never had the discipline to follow through with school and become an expert in any of those fields. I'm too lazy of a guy to put in the work required to be any of those. So I'll just watch them and be envious of their lives and hope I have the discipline to accomplish such incredible feats in another life.

Likely, what I am going to school for, which is to get into the medical field. I have never done work in that type of job but find it fascinating.

But you're actually moving towards that goal. I mean for instance, if you're a lawyer but would have loved to be an air force pilot.

Uh, maybe something to do with fitness, like a fitness coach. I am big into working out and athletics.
