Why did I get rejected from this part-time server job while in school?

The job was a server at a senior hotel living place.

they needed part time.
I needed part time for school.
First they said hours was 2-3 days a wk.

then they say could be 4 hr shifts 5 days a wk, then say cud be one 8hr shift weekly.
I start school January but im available daily work late afternoon/evenings, full time weekends.
I have experience interacting with seniors as I live at a senior apartment complex.
& I don’t get chosen I got denied by email.

I have a lot of bills I need work AND go to school.
even if it was few hours it’s OKAY

I also had reschedule my interview that day as my car was having issues which was bad luck but they did allow me still come to interview 😓
