Decide how far you are willing to walk, especially in bad weather, and start looking online.
The people I know who don’t drive either live close enough to walk or take an Uber of they don’t. Walking for an hour each way is a lot. Bus or train would be needed there if it is available.
Most cities have organizations that help people find places to live, but you may have to wait for a spot to open up, which can take months or even years in some extreme cases.
Walking? Get a bicycle. That makes even a 4-5 km commute to a jiffy.
I didn’t own a car for a few years and lived in a community with stores and restaurants close by. I took a city bus to work.
City location is there buses or taxis / ubers and what about rails or Bicycles?
Just not sure if the trama is for driving or / and riding in a vehicle?
