Out of curiosity, I looked up the average page written by writers & the data looked odd- tho anecdotal so all subject to variation of opinion. Still weird how many were saying stuff like 3-6 pages if you have free time & all day to designate and maybe 1/2 page, if you have other jobs and or parenthood, and only a few hours to designate.

Supposedly, Stephen King writes 6 pages 📄 a day ALL day. They were making that out to be astounding. Well, in this case they must mean 6 perfectly crafted edited researched referenced prosed… I Mean anyone Can write 6 pages in well under 6 hours, so it must be 6 ‘perfectly executed ready to publish pages.’ No?

I suppose the questions are not asked specifically or of course as is often the case, questions are answered so generally it’s as if no question was asked at all.

I notice in writing, there can be many different approaches and aside from preparing thoughts / questions in your mind (which adds to the over all writing process) many people do a fair amount of stream of consciousness, question answer, notes, research etc etc —which can go on for hours. All technically writing tho not story line in isolation.

My guess is for all the people writing 6 pages in 6 hours, there are people writing 10 pages in 1 hour abs every number in between.

So, for those of you who do write regularly, I’m curious to know, if you happen to know yourselves and are w give a rough estimate..

Approximately how many pages do you write a day, on average.

How many pages is for you a heavy flow?

How many pages on a day when relative to your own higher numbers, you don’t produce much?

Approximately how many hours are you comfortable writing in one day?

How many pages do you think you write in an hour?

Does the amount you write per hour, lessen or increase as you write for more than an hour?

I feel bad knowing the abusive situation she has at home, but I'm also not being heard. Which would you do?

English doesn't have a gender system. You don't have to worry whether a chair is male or female it's just a chair. But in French it's female, in German it's male.

So if you've learnt a second language how easy did you pick up the issue of gender?

I am an in home nurse who cares for the elderly. The patient has an adult daughter in the home who has a dog. There is also a male relative who comes over and stays the night. Yesterday I witnessed that male relative in the backyard punching and kicking the dog and the dogs ribs are showing. I called and told my job about this. They are going to come and do a supervisor visit. Although, I enjoy my elderly patient I no longer want to work at this home due to what I've seen. It really affected my spirit. People who abuse animals are sociopaths and are capable of more. Should I leave this client's home? I'm scared now.

I tried to pick the subject most schools should have anywhere.

I started a new job and have found out quickly the reason people quit is because is environment is horrendous. It is mostly coming from one woman who has been there for over 40 years. She is knowledgeable about her job but such a bitchy and mean person. I am stuck with this woman directly as I am working along side her. She constantly tries to put blame on me for things that happened even before I got there. My workload is piling up because she is passing her work onto me.

Not only calling other members of staff, c*nts, pr*cks, stupid b*tches. She started referring to the black people in our office as monkeys and other vicious remarks. Now first I thought I misheard but she said numerous times on Friday and I have not stopped thinking about it all weekend. I have already started applying for new jobs so hope to be out of there soon. Should I tell my other colleagues what has happened and the two girls in HR are the ones she is directing her hate at the most, so I feel I can’t even go to them. And the boss who has only been there 5 year walks on eggshells around this woman cause of the time she has been there. I would have stayed in this job if it was not for this woman. What should I do?
