I am mildly germophobic, and also have a little bit of OCD tendencies

I really don't think they would want a neurosurgeon that has to wash hands sanitize before, during and after touching every single instrument and stuff...

nor would they want a neurosurgeon that decides "I should start it all over again, it all might been great and well, but that one... step, I didn't like, let's get that brain out of the basket AGAIN!!!"

Yup. I had to take neurology classes as science requirements in college and did well in them, despite not studying for anything. B+'es.
