you should take an art appreciation course. understanding the purpose behind art movements adds huge layers of meaning to them, and you'll likely develop a more consistent personal aesthetic instead of having a room full of random pretty stuff.

I stayed at the Bellagio and basically just ran along the strip and Fremont street. The painter I met, painted a high quality pic like that in less than like 5 minutes, his name was Tony Vegas, it was incredible to watch.
