I used to always go change in a stall, and I was the only one who did this and other chicks acted like this was so weird, kind of like they were entitled to seeing me change. I don't know what they thought was weird about it. I think it's weird that they thought it was weird. The average teenage girl is so insecure about her body that I'd think many would rather not change in front of other girls. For me, I'm very conservative, so I'm not comfortable with showing my body.
I also think it makes sense for guys to not want to change in front of each other because they're usually so hyper-masculine and don't want to be accused of looking at another guy's body/being gay. Girls are not generally going to deal with, "oooh, are you looking at her breasts? LESBO, HAHAHAHA!" nor get as upset about it if they do deal with it. In fact, the fact that girls noticed and overreacted to what I did makes me believe it's common for girls to look at each other while changing (which is exactly what I didn't want).
I'm pretty sure guys at my high school had to change in front of each other, though. Our gym locker rooms for PE classes all seemed to have about two stalls and maybe one shower, so you wouldn't have time for everyone to go to a stall.
I think it's just about individuals and what size/amenities the locker rooms are/have.

we changed everything but panties unless we showered. Sports was different we had to change everything and shower everyday.
I played football in junior high and high school. When we went to the locker room we would change at the lockers, and talk before practice or the game. Then after practice or a home game we’d go take a shower go back to our lockers and change back. None of us had a problem changing in front of other guys. Well I mean there was a few odd guys that were too shy to change with everyone else, and they would all go change in the stalls.
I’ve always found it odd that so many guys are either extremely homophobic and afraid of someone looking at them, or they are shy, or they have something to hide and are afraid of being picked on (at least in school).
But I’ve always been an extrovert, so I’ve never had a problem with it. I don’t know, maybe I’m just odd. 🤷♂️
when i was in school a long time ago it was more of a given guys gts dressed and kids were picked on for trying to change in a different area.
and some even got there cloths thrown away by kids with a odd since of humor so they had to go to class in sweaty cloths.
its changed since then though i think.

I mostly remember that my lunch money was stolen out of my locker when I was in PE class in high school.
My family was too poor, so I had no lunch that week. That is when I learned that my parents couldn't always fix every problem.
If I would have found out who did it, I could have beaten them up and taken it back, but it happened when I was out to PE. I never found out who stole it from me.>Go in
>Get changed
>Some guys make some jokes
>Leave
>Enter gym
>Have class.
Fucking horrifying I know.Mine was totally different from both but a little bit more like yours.
We didn't have lockers but both girls and boys would be in the same changing/shower room and change and shower together out in the open.
