Jim Carey. Look into his past. He isn't just an obnoxius actor seeking attention. That's a facade of a boy who grew in a tent with hypochondriac mother and jobless father. He was a literal janitor and other kids bullied him. He worked hard to find an acting career when his mother got sick with kidney failure. He suffered through depression. His wife left him and his girlfriend: the one who emotionally manipulated him committed suicide when he wouldn't take her back. He is finally doing what he loves most and is very happy.

However, if you are a student of communication studies, I can see a valid conversation about the media and celebrities and how they are important to each other. Celebrities must communicate effectively, it’s required to be a celebrity. The media cover celebrities , not always in a way that abides by the ethics of journalism. The media can and does manipulate the public intentionally, or not. They have the power to make or break a celebrity, which is problematic in ways far too much to even count.
