What would win? A silverback gorilla or a grizzly bear?

The bear hands down , as the bear is DESIGNED to kill , it is primarily a predator. Gorillas are generally very placid strict vegans , despite their strength & power , they conduct themselves far better than us , or their other close cousins chimpanzees , and the 2 will never encounter each other in the wild anyway.

The gorilla has crazy strength, and grizzly claws and teeth. They’d both probably lose. The gorilla would probably kill it but wind up mortally wounded and wind up dying later too. Because of the close hand to hand combat, the grizzly would get some damage done.

The gorillas intimidation tactics would work tho. No one in the right mind would want to come against that thing. It would be a death sentence.

Grizzly, Gorillas are tough but if you’ve ever watched a grizzly rag doll a moose or other grizzly you know what those jaws can do.

Gorilla I see being able to hurt the grizzly but the grizz is going to rip the gorilla open

Gorilla is stronger, but grizzly is more fierce and those claws and teeth, so I'd bet on the grizzly.

Silverbacks are usually older and not as strong. Though if it was smarter maybe.
