Do you think Halo Infinite should have a left trigger function like Doom?

Halo 5 kind of went down the Call of Duty path when it used the left trigger to zoom in but I thought a zoom in function was kind of silly with short range weapons. But I think it could be used kind of like how Doom did it where depending on the weapon, it would either Zoom in or use an alternative mode of fire. Here's some examples:

-The left trigger would charge the EMP on the plasma pistol

-It would lock on with the rocket launcher

-It would use the scope on the sniper rifle.

Some other ideas:

-It could activate a laser designator on the pistol

-It could chamber a second round in the shotgun breach by pumping it for a "double tap".

Classic controls all the way... no idea why Halo ever deviated from them.

Halo =/= CoD... nor does it play or even have remotely the same pacing as CoD. Give me that right stick zoom, that B-button melee, left stick crouch (non-toggled)... A-button jump... X sprint is fine since reload was moved to bumpers... LB grenade swap... DESCOPE when shot... that’s a big one too, to keep Halo playing as it should.

PERFECT lol. No changes needed. They can even keep the short-range zoom too, if they want... it wasn’t a problem. You just get descoped and if nobody descoped you at close range, you deserve that kill. On the flip side, if you didn’t even challenge a guy at close range, you deserve to die lol you know? That’s pitiful. Close range zoom is far from the issue at that point.

Like most the other games in the series I think left trigger should be grenades.
