retronymed "Star Trek: The Animated Series"
which, of course, now needs to be retroretronymed now that "Star Trek: Lower Decks" exists.
For a Saturday morning cartoon "kids show" in 1973-1974, it was really written for adults. I looked forward to watching it every Saturday morning. Much better than the other drek on at the time.

Saturday Mornings 1973
1973 saw the continuation of a new trend - making (mostly) bad cartoon versions of classic television shows - and prime-time stars lent their voices to cartoons this year as well.
...
Star Trek / NBC
(debut)
Animated series with the continuing journeys of Capt. Kirk, Mr. Spock and the whole gang.
All of the regulars [except Walter Koenig who played Chekov] from the 1966-69 series provided their voices for this show, and the scripts were often excellent science-fiction - going places the live-action show couldn't because of budget constraints.
This cartoon is better than the original in many respects.

I enjoyed Bojack Horseman... I don’t really watch cartoons but will watch the occasional good anime.
Sponge Bob Square Pants if we are talking this day and time.
