Why you think Activision won't let me use 1776 in my account name?

Activision is the company that makes the Call of Duty games, for those that don't know.

So why do you all think they say that 1776 in inappropriate no matter if its alone or in with the rest of my name I want to use.

I have my own theory, just wsnt to know if others think it too, or van verify my opinion.

I think it’s mostly due to the negative association with African slavery.

All of the founding fathers owned slaves. So on 1776, a paper was signed saying all men are equal and free. But they STILL had slaves. So 1776 is offensive to some.

Even though they were owned way before then and were sold by their own people? Now their dependents live in the most free country in the world?
