Is being an artists/makeup artists and a cosplayer still a reasonable career?

Been a passion of mine since I was a child to be honest and I’m starting to wonder if it’s even worth while..

Any advice? Maybe I should try going into filmmaking and being part of the makeup/art department? Not sure..

I am pretty adept at making costumes/putting together a costume.. I’ll share of photo of me playing as Clea Strange (from Doctor Strange comics)

It was never "reasonable" to begin with. But just as with every career if you really perfect your craft and actually take chances and go where you need to go to forward it you'll be successful. And if it's you in the picture I guess you also the advantage that you already have the body and face for it so as long as you're skilled with the costumes you create you will be at comicons in no time

Cosplayer... i don't know. Maybe as a content creator on Youtube/Instagram/..., where you also show off how you make the cosplay, like Kamui Cosplay

Just wearing the cosplay would be more like a model job.

Makeup artists, is a real job, but probably really hard to get into, eg Makeup artists at a film set/Tv show...

Hell I still do, but mainly for fun. My main income is farming and pro film photographer.

Of course it is. If you're happy doing what you're doing and that's the lifestyle you want to live then do it
