Do you think the 1980s was the most badass decade ever?

I don't care for that hair metal crap, but I sure like those British/Irish New Wave bands (U2, Sting/The Police, Duran Duran), and those Heartland rockers (Bruce Springsteen, John Cougar Mellencamp), and the dance pop (Madonna, Michael Jackson), and all those films.

And the attire looked cool, thank goodness our modern fashion is influenced by 80s stuff.

The 70s was too bland, and the 90s too um... unique.

From someone who was there, and for whom the John Hughes films were actually aimed: I can tell you this: It was, in retrospect, a lot better time than we realized. And it definitely was an improvement from the utter malaise and doldrums of the 1970's.

The music both touched the soul and made you want to dance, minus that hair metal crap lol.

The hair metal led to Grunge (largely as a backlash against hair metal) so there is that.
