I have! I didn't think I would like it but I ended up not being able to turn it off. It was like Willy Wonka meets Hunger Games.
yes it does give off those vibes aha. Old movies were such classics

I'm usually a person that doesn't follow trends, but I decided to watch it since there was so much hype around it. The hype was more than I ever seen for a show. I also like Kdramas. This show was soo good. I couldn't turn it off and finished it all in one sitting, which is rare for me. I stayed up until early in the morning watching this show. That being said there are people saying it was a rip-off of a Japanese show. There are a lot of shows like this though and I tend to go for shows like this.
yeah it’s good but it was just a bit slow for me with the scenes
Yeah some scenes were slow. Like I said there are others like it that are better just because it's more intense, such as Alice in Borderland. I also think it's impressive that it took the guy 10 years to get it published. Just goes to show you what perseverance can do. A lot of people go through the same thing, but they just give up after time. Shows you can't give up no matter what.
yeah i like his story a lot. this is why diversity is good sometimes. also ill look into that show
I preferred to watch the recaps on YouTube:
https://www.youtube.com/embed/CpvvUovLPgQFrom what the recaps showed, I would/did enjoy the show. I didn't care for the ending, but it has potential.
I liked it a lot. I think the ending could have been better though. Apparently the games were created because some rich people were bored with their lives and sick of humanity? Not a satisfying explanation to me. Maybe there is a richer story with the Front Man In-ho. But that remains to be fleshed out in a possible second season. (Somewhat unlikely if you ask me because this first season took 10+ years to write and produce)
I haven’t watched the ending yet but I wouldn’t blame them this world can be sick sometimes lol.
Oh wait i’m sorry I thought you were saying the creator wrote this along with others because he was sick of humanity. I was thinking that’s harsh lol but yeah in the movie it is silly like you can’t be that bored.
I’ve seen the first two episodes. It’s interesting and good, but the main character is kind of a lazy ass, gambling, smoking douche. He needed to get his act together years ago.
It's good.
If you like survival /horror game shows watch 'Alice in Borderland ' (Japan). It only has one season (covid affected) so far and is loosely based on Alice in Wonderland.
Then one of the originators of the survival/horror game genre , a movie called 'Battle Royale ' (again Japan). If you watched 'Hunger game's' , you'll notice were they "borrowed " from 'Battle Royale'.
I'll watch it when the hype goes down (yeah, I'm that kind of person lol).
good don’t be a follower but I don’t nt see how it would affect anybody lol
I binged it on vacation with my friend…. it was okay I laughed at some parts which I shouldn’t have.
i’m dead really aha
Amazing best show but sex scene was too unnecessary
No I haven't, and I don't plan to. I don't jump on stupid trends just because other people are into them.
Lol you don’t have to it’s not affecting anyone. I just asked people persuade a lot of things this thing won’t hurt me or you if you don’t watch it so okay good day.
How is watching a show a trend? You're starting to comment negativity just to be negative.
@ShaTTeredMasterpeace
I'm referring to Westerners and others all of a sudden pretending to be K-Dramas or Korean entertainment when most people didn't give a sh*t literally just two weeks ago. In other words, bandwagoning. I hate bandwagoning, but more so, the implication that others are supposed to hop on it, as well. Especially since I have actual Koreans here telling me the show isn't even good; just gory and violent for shock value. But as I said, it doesn't appeal to me.
It's literally a show on a Netflix tho. Literally there for people to watch. It's getting popular by word of mouth. I had someone suggest it because they thought it was good. I watched it and thought so too. So does that mean I hopped on the bandwagon? Lol I don't get it. But alright.
exactly^ it’s like people are trying to be negative and different as a token for no reason lol
I finished it and I thought it was really good, way better than I thought
I have seen two episodes so far; I still want to watch so it is doing well so far.
that’s good yeah it took me a bit to finish it
Yeah its a great show
I haven’t seen it I have DIRECTV
no it needs more boobs
you need more cocks
It was good lots of twista and turns
Boring.
some of the scenes were slow but i thought it was decent did you finish jt all?
I finished the first and second episodes. I wanted to like it. But, it was boring. Maybe I'll give it another try.
@Neosporin I tried.. it was just so dry and boring. The few good movies I can think of is Jakob the Liar, 300, Dead Poets Society, and The Joker. On Netflix I like that anime movie with the kid and book. I don't remember the name of it. Maybe I'll try Squid games again.
