I watched it and I thought it had good elements but it wasn't as good as some other shows. I liked Alice in Borderland more. During the games the character interaction was good but outside of that it had so little substance. The guy talking about how when you have a lot of money there's no joy in life anymore. That's such a lame backstory for this game. Korean shows tend to have bad pacing. They come up with (or copy like in this case) a good idea and then when they have you hooked they stretch out the content because they know you want to see how it ends. It wasn't as bad in this show as in some of the other dramas but still I felt there was some slumps. Like after they left the game for the first time. It got so boring. In Alice in Borderland even when they're not in a game and have the chance of dying there's it stayst really interesting because there's a lot of unanswered questions. This world just seems way less thoughout aside from the games. It was still fun to watch though, the marble game for instance was very good and the rope pulling. The glass and the ending were not quite as exciting.

Have you seen it? How is it? I haven’t seen it but I feel like watching it now that people have mentioned it several times here and elsewhere. There’s also “Midnight Mass” which I’m more anticipating than anything else at the moment.
Yes. It’s amazing. The dichotomy of human’s animal instincts vs civilized behavior is intriguing. The exploration of human psyche and the will to survive coupled with the human condition of life vs living will make you ask yourself at every turn “what would you do if faced with same decisions?”
If you want know yourself better watch this series and look into your soul to find the truth of who you.
If you want the full experience don't watch it with English voice-over (no hate to people who watch it dubbed but in my opinion sub > dub).
I'm mostly in love with the cinematography & use of colors, it kind of reminds me of Wes Anderson. As someone who normally doesn't watch these kind of movies/tv shows, I can really appreciate it.

I'm just hoping SpongeBob decides to make a squidward centered parody of it
My colleague showed me it and I watched a recap but I dunno if I'm interested enough in watching the whole thing in it's entirety. It's basically the hunger games combined with the purge in a way. It's too easy to predict what's going to happen and it's basically just a suspense fest with little to no plot.
Ok, so... I am watching it, I like the concept so far, but admittedly skipped some of the more boring parts, esp I. Ep1 where I pretty much skipped to the action part
I'm really struggling getting past the bad acting & the almost unbearable voice overs.
That said, I like it enough that I plan to keep going!!!Nope. The Battle Royale Concepts does not appeal to me. Same with the purge concept.
The Hunger Games was the only one that I could get behind due to the setup of the story.
But these other ones are trash. Purge legal killing but no one goes after politicians? riiiightHaven't heard of it. And mainly watch Netflix.
read synopsis. Sounds... meh. I don't know if people think this is some comment on society or something. There's been no point in human history where you wouldn't have found people willing to risk their lives for a ton of money. It started good, but ended with boring life retrospection of the main protagonist. Of course propaganda factor was there, because all the guys with PlayStation controller symbols were North Korean soldiers.
If I was creator of such game I wouldn't give the winner that pile of money. I would just kill him, because it's the most secure and less cost intense option. It’s basically another Battle Royale. There’s so many anime, Korean dramas, and even English-speaking movies (Escape Room, comes to mind), that are like this. It’s unoriginal and I found the one guy who basically betrayed his mother to be the most irritating.
Nope. Unlikley it will become the most popular show ever on Netflix pretty much all live action Asian things are not popular in the west. Nvm just a series on netflix.
If it was anime it would gain a bit more. But even then unless it's name is castlevania not gonna be that big. It’s an interesting show and the small details definitely teaches you a lot about life; wise and otherwise. However, the scenes are too stretched sometimes, which is why you have to skip skip skip. Not sure if there’s a second season to it, but if not then the last episode could have been much better but it wasn’t.
Yes it is an amazing series. It’s refreshing and certainly worth watching. I believe that it raises questions at every turn. You need a brain, and you must be able to use your brain, in order for you to understand and process what goes on. Also in order for you to simply enjoy the wonders and detail of this work of art.
I've heard they really fucked up the English subtitles
Watched it and loved it!
Love how the games represented Korean cultureYeah I liked it but Netflix did the show wrong for putting a fucking English voiceover on it. Just leave it in Korean and put English subtitles. I’ll be rewatching it today but with no voiceover and subtitles.
Binged it in one day.. I liked it except for the last episode. It took forever to get to a point.
Wanna watch a much better show?
Alice in BorderlandHave not but by the photo you posted and the general state of propaganda it looks like it is about the angry females (or shemales) punishing men (especially Asian, for Mongolising, while the world is turning more and more moronic and hurling towards inviting the Mongols over to help again)
I watched the first two episodes with friends because I don't have Netflix, it was great! But I have to wait until the day I can watch the rest of the episodes lol.
Yes, it was fucked up and pretty good lol , I am not much of a tv person but that series caught my interest , just finished it the other day
I watched it and OMG it was amazing! I don’t know I loved it so much to the point where I learned something about life…. it can teach you important lessons.
Honestly felt like this show should have been an anime. You know how good this shit would be? Like attack on titan level good. It all starts off with a traumatic event and then he goes back to get revenge. It just sounds like it would something good like attack on titan if it were an anime. The English dub made me go into cardiac arrest. I literally can’t stand it. It sounds so fucking unnatural and very cringey. All of Netflix’s dubs are awful Jesus.
I had trouble getting into the first episode for the first 2 acts but it got so much better! I’m stoked to watch more of it.
