I liked Titanic, Japanese, and mechanic themes.

I chose mechanic. That is a gorgeous photo. My kind of photography composition and lighting, for sure.

The guy that took the photo of the mechanic was the same guy that essentially got child labor laws to be enforced in the US, which is pretty crazy.

I like the photo of the boy selling the newspaper on the Titanic's sinking the best. That was such a tragic event. Thank God ships rarely sink

The bulletproof vest photo is impressive.
There’s something about the powerhouse mechanic— the coloring of the photo or his stance and expression. Noteworthy, though I’m having trouble putting it into words.

Lewis Hine's photographs supported the NCLC's lobbying to end child labor, and in 1912 the Children's Bureau was created. The Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 eventually brought child labour in the US to an end.

I voted for the Easter eggs because I've always liked snarky military photos, but the steam mechanic, or the boy with the stuffed animal in London are probably more "iconic."
