What negative experiences have you had on an amusement park ride?

—When i went on one coaster, I wasn't thinking and wore my panther flip flops lmao. I totally lost one on the ride and had to hop around the hot concrete with one shoe on. My dad was too cheap to buy me another pair so I rode everything barefoot
—On one coaster, the people behind us puked but the coaster went so fast that it didn't land on us and instead flew back in the faces of everyone behind the person lol
—On the ring of fire coaster with my cousins, my buckle came loose. It came to a stop to hang upside down for like 5 mins straight, and they had to put their arms over me to hold me into the seat because i was horribly slipping
—While on the swing ride that was high in the sky, my chain came loose. I asked the guy to double check me and he wouldn't so im not surprised. But Thankfully the swinging pressure had me pinned to the back of my seat the whole ride
—While on the zapper, there was no seatbelt so it rammed me and my friend guy into the cage walls repeatedly. He kept trying to save my glasses from getting broken. We were pretty beat up after the ride
—While on the river raft ride, i leaned to the side to avoid going under the waterfall and rammed into something and my thigh went into a part of my seat. The whole side of my thigh turned red then green then purple then black for about a month
—When i rode this wooden coaster in ATL, i got a splinter in my ass because the ride shook so much from being so damn old. Lmao horrible pain!
—While on another ride, my cousin hopped out of line last minute after I walked through the gate, leaving me to ride alone with this guy who laughed the whole time and screamed “Weeeee! This is fun Alice!” (Yea i totally lied to him about my name)
—On one coaster, the shoulderbelt didn't want to snap over my boobs so my boyfriend had to hold his hand over me to ensure i didn't fall
—While on this other spinning ride, someone threw up and it flew on everyone that was on that side of the ride haha

I've had big boobs basically my whole life. And I've never been a fan of coasters. My cousin peer pressured me to go on the Dueling Dragons Rollercoaster at Disney World. They had those seats with the overhead thing that snapped into the buckle between your legs. The stupid ass attendant didn't make sure that mine was buckled. It wouldn't go down all the way because of my boobs. I kept tryna tell them. i wasn't buckled in but they weren't listening. The fucking ride started and I immediately started screaming for dear life. My cousin was trying to get me to calm down. I literally had to interlock my arms around the part that went over my head. They were so sore and bruised from me holding so tight. I screamed and cried the whole ride and I refused to talk to my cousin for the rest of the trip.

I was holding my arms up, and the ride jerked crazy hard, and I accidentally punched the hell out of the girl next to me. She was a stranger, and I punched her right in the eye and nose. It was so hard, and I felt so bad. My hands were balled up, too.

When we got off the ride, her eyes were all swollen and teary, and her nose was really red. I stopped putting my hands up after that.

I ALMOST puked on a roller coaster once, but luckily I didn’t - got to the trash bin after the ride was over. It was a mistake to eat a big meal beforehand.

I had stories of several guys (no one I knew personally, thank God) who worked smaller “kiddie” coasters who were killed because they were working on a ride, and some idiotic staff member, not looking, started the ride up - they got stuck, or hit (usually in the head), often by the coaster rides, but there were electrocution rumors, too - several died.

I used to work for several amusement companies and I often had to fix the machines or walk the rides - I hate heights, and I often had to “walk the ride” for the small coasters. Ugh.

however went to amusement park with ex girlfriend, what we did not know was the Ghost train ride had people jumping out and trying to scare people.

we were walking along inside and this guy dressed up as a zombie jumped out at my girlfriend, she decked him, just instant reaction and he went down lol.

we got asked to leave.

- Getting sick on a ride, no I didn't throw up. But once I saw a video of someone doing just that, throwing up on everyone and they're stuck on that ride. Both disgusting and hilarious but no, not gonna risk that
- Kids getting lost. It's not your kid, but you end up babysitting them finding back the parents, staying with them. On one hand it's heartwarming, on the other... it pisses me off when you see that parent and they don't seem to care all that much once reunited.
- Queues. To enter the park, to go on a ride, to leave the park. Queues.
That about covers it, with maybe the occasional bad weather

Got stuck at the top of a roller coaster in Cedar Point in Ohio. Many many years before that when I was probably in elementary school, we went to an amusement park called Boblo Island in Detroit. I don't remember what the ride was called, but it was kind of like a messed up ferris wheel. Instead of just the wheel it had arms that came out with cages attached to those arms that would twist and spin in every direction as the "wheel" went around and around. My brother came out of the seat and was just flopping around in the cage screaming bloody murder. Fun times.

lol honestly nothing bad ever happened to me
but once I went on a fairground ride (the one on the pic) during a strong rain down burst. When standing in line and the sky already was dark and first drops fell I thought they'll wait, but nope. I got seated along with 10 other people, safety bar closed and with perfect timing heavy rainfall began. The ride was 5min long and very fast, every raindrop felt like a needle in your face and couldn't open my eyes or mouth. Left the ride soaked down to my socks and underwear.

My family and I went to Six Flags and this was back when the Tony Hawk Pro Skater ride was there which basically your sitting in like a seat that was big enough for four people and a bar come down but apparently my sister was too small and the bar did not keep her inside and she fell out but luckily my father caught her by the arm so she wouldn't fall all the way down to the ground and injured herself it's not kill herself because it was pretty high up

heights never bothered me. I used to climb trees and work on roofs. When my son was 7 or 8 he wanted to go on this double ferris wheel so I went on it with him. When we started to go up all of a sudden I was afraid of heights. I had one hand on my son and the other I was gripping the bar for dear life.

We were first in line to get on the ferris wheel. It kept stopping to let others on. By the time I was at the top, I was terrified. As we approached the bottom, with a full load, I shouted to the guy in charge to stop it and let me off.

Wow, you've certainly had a lot of incidents. I've never gone on rides that much and don't recall any serious incidents. Worst thing that happened to me was a steep warerslide where, when I hit the water, my swim trunks almost came off.

My worst experience was at Lagoon on the old wooden roller coaster. The lap bar snapped up right when the thing reached the hight of the first hill. If I didn't grab the bottom of that seat for dear life!

My family & I were on a ride. It was an older ones I guess and it slowly began stopping down & splashing oil on a lot of people!! They took us out eventually and gave us cookies & s*** to make up for it 😒

i was stuck on the swings that go lift up and go around. The swings didn't go all the way down. I had to leave the park at that time, so i just jumped down and left. It was about a 6 foot jump, so it wasn't that bad

Not a negative experience but a thrilling experience. It was a 40 ft water slide tornado, after sliding I fell in the pool. I was numb for 5 minutes. My friends went back after watching me, they didn't try it.

The lost shoe thing also happened to me. I lost a converse because it was too lose. I ended the day barefoot because it was summer and didn't put any socks. I didn't want to walk with one shoe either.
Being barefoot was actually cool in a way !
