Why are concert audiences so weird?

They seem to want performers to act like they are just on an album. They don't want them to joke or tell stories in between songs anymore, or to try new material. They just want them to do the old stuff.

eh, I don't know. We love the stories and jokes they tell where I'm at. And well, they want the old songs because that's what made the band famous in the first place. Those are the songs that people have an emotional connection with, through events that happened in their lives when those songs were new.

You get goosebumps and all up in your feels as you remember that song coming on the radio the first time you kissed someone or whatever. New songs can still be amazing, and mind-blowingly awesome, but they don't have the connection to the deepest part of everyone's emotions yet. That's why. :) I agree though, a lot of concert goers are rude af about what they want the band to play.

Yeah, and don't get me started on people staring at their phones during concerts.
