Does anyone buy CDs or does everyone just stream music?

I will always buy CDs. I use Spotify as well but once I discover a band I'll go out and actually get the albums. There's a distinct visual happiness derived from seeing a shelf slowly fill up with all the albums from bands that you've discovered over many, many years.

I use pandora when in the car, and bandcamp when wanting to find new bands (along with youtube). BUT i have a pile of CDs thats always growing, and same with records. Bands go through the trouble making artwork and adding a visual thing to their sound for a reason. there's just something magical about watching a record spin with music coming through or reading shit from a booklet while hearing a CD. Plus, with streaming your only owning a license to listen. With physical media, you really are owning a copy of the music itself.

I’ll always buy Cds! Alwayyys. I own over 300 cds with them being from several music genres. I only use spotify a few times a month but i mostly prefer cd/radio/tv for music

I go with what’s easiest. I can hit iTunes or Amazon and get the song I want on my device. If you have a nostalgic feeling for cds, go for it. We rarely find happiness these days.

sometimes i buy cds not often, they scratch so easy even when you are careful

our house is full of old cds that are just home for dust. Anything sounds better online :/

most are scratched. when cd's first came out I thought right away this will go away fast because it's so easy to scratch and nobody likes to listen to tracks and only to make it have a seizure lol on repeat of the same loop scratched part. tr tr tr tr lol I remember having to run to go clean the cd in hopes that it would not get stuck again lol wow memories. I do not think anyone will purchase. I even remember buying some serum that you apply to the back of the scratched cd in hopes that it would somehow magically play without scratches lol

Oh yea the scratches suck. I’ve kept mine scratch free and dont even get prints on them. I stick my finger in the circle when transporting from the dvd/cd box to the player. We still have a player in our car and in my huge vinyl record player. And i have about 1500 dvd/cd in total
