Back when Sir Terry Wogan presented the BBC coverage, which he did for 30 years, it was fantastic, and absolutely hilarious.
It hasn't been the same since he quit (in protest at the blatant political/geographical voting going on). There also aren't as many of the more eccentric performers - it's just a lot of power ballads and cheesy electro-pop, and most of them take it far too seriously.

I used I have Eurovision parties for a few years, but it started getting ridiculous and none of us really watched it anymore, still good excuse to have a party though lol
