I was singing in a choir for some years, where I improved my singing a lot. I don't have a special voice, a big range or so, but I can learn to sing many songs/melodies in a key which fits me.

I grew up playing guitar and singing with my older brother.
I can sound like Brett Michaels, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Alan Jackson, Kurt Cobain, Kenny Rogers or Alan Jackson. Otherwise my voice doesn't work for any other music.
