The most popular one is the Genesis/Megadrive and after that would be the Dreamcast. the Master system was uber popular in the uk and Brazil and the saturn? mainly japan.

but all of them came here to the U. S. during the late 80s and 90s. have YOU ever owned one of these or a the very least played on one?

No, I’ve never owned any video game console, nor have I played many. My brother has a few consoles, but I try to stay out of his game room. My dad has an Atari, and just countless games! He actually spent a lot having it converted to 110 volts and the video output converted from the English to the American system, but since he got it in ‘80/‘81 for Christmas, it’s very important to him? We used to play that a lot when I was younger and actually looked forward to family game night!

We had the sega saturn and played the Sega Dreamcast at my cousin's. Of course we also had the Genesis. I bought with my own pocket money the Genesis gear game handheld it was the coolest thing ever because before the gameboy only came in black and white but the sega handheld was in color.
I really loved Nights into dreams

And besides the obvious sonic I loved the game The Humans

I got my nieces and nephew the Dreamcast when they was little.

But i did that because I was cheap.

Then the next year I was under so much pressure to get a Playstation.

i beleive msrp was $200 brand new in 1999.

yep and in 2001 I got it brand new in box from a Toys R Us for $50 with 3 games bundled and a second controller. I picked up both sonic adventures that day too. Sonic Adventure 1 is my favorite sonic game of all time and i got 2 of those green memory cards. Did you know modders are still creating new games to this day for the system? No joke its crazy

I never owned one, but I had a chance to try the Sega Genesys many years ago, Sonic 1 and 2, Battletoads the Chester Cheetah game and one about two aliens that threw jars are the ones I remember the best.

My first ever council was a Sega Genesis that was gifted to me by a family friend. It only had one game, but it was a good one
