Do you like solving puzzles?

There's an old Chinese legend that the Emperor was making a grand tour of the country, and at one point was going to stop in a small village. The yeople decided to make a ceramic tile for him, and each contributed: one harvested the clay, one gathered the wood, one fired the kiln, and so on. Ote person was assigned to carry the tile to present it to the emperor, but when the time came, he tripped and fello and the tile shattered. Horrified, he picked up the pieces and decided to give them anyway; even if he was punished, better him than the whole village. But the emperor was pleased with the gift, thinking that his people had made for him a puzzle; this is the legndary origin of the Tangram, the Chinese puzzle of seven pieces to assemble into a square (or a variety of other shapes).

Although it's not a popular sentiment, I view the universe in kind of the same way: a puzzle of such maddening complexity that it's given rise to me; made by a joyous God and given to itself to solve.

I'm pretty good at it. I've solved quite a few of those Rubik's puzzles as well as Drive Ya Nuts and Instant Insanity and probably all of those linking rings puzzles I've had to deal with.
My fastest actual time for Rubik's Cube was something like :20. (There WAS one time I scrambled it so well that it only took me about 5 seconds to solve because I only had to make about 5 or 6 moves! And, another time I solved it in :00!! I scrambled it so well that, by the time I decided to solve it, it was already solved!!)

I thought so.
One night, I was cooking something to eat when my brother comes in from the bar where was just hanging out in for the past several hours and shows me this small "burlap" bag with a drawstring on it and says there's one of those linking ring puzzles in the bag and so far, nobody's been able to solve it and lots of people have tried. He opens the bag and pulls out this mass of linking "rings" about a foot long and with at least a dozen pieces. He gave it to me and, after looking at it for about 5 seconds, I had the whole thing apart maybe 5 seconds later!

Yes. Some much more than others. I think I mentioned before I memorized every version of solitaire card options from my first computer. Didn’t realize how often I played it. lol

Lol I think some look cool as art once they are solved. So it’s like a 2 for 1!
