What are some good animes to start with?

Well it's weekend. I'm bored. I have like a hour to kill so I thought why not start watching an anime series? So which anime is interesting? Could be romantic, comedy, dark. Horror is most preferred and fantasy is least preferred.

Gantz the anime is a good horror but it's very bloody.

Monster is another very good anime one of my favorites actually and it's kind of a mystery crime drama with some horror aspects to it.

Berserk is my absolute favorite anime of all time and I would argue it's the best story humankind has ever made and it has a lot of action drama and horror in it. Also very bloody anime but very satisfying to watch not in a messy kind way. Start with the 1997-1998 Berserk then watch Berserk 2016 & 2017

Blade Runner Black Lotus if you like Blade Runner, Cyber Punk in general or Motion Capture animation. I recently finished it and currently go through the second watch.
Hellsing Ultimate if you want something dark, creepy, violent, insane.
Dragon Ball the classic series and then the Z series if you want something inspiring, funny and popular.

Dark, horror fantasy could be Attack on Titans. Basically humanity trying to survive against human eating giants. The war between them.

What genres do you like in general?

Id start with FullMetal Alchemist Brotherhood English Dub. Story isn't too complex and it has great animation, characters and awesome action and fight scenes. Watch the English voice acted one because its much better than the Japanese version. Make sure its Brotherhood though as there is another one which is older.
