What are the best adventure books?

I love adventure books. but I don't like books that contain unrealistic content such as galaxy, alien, space shuttle. I am looking for books in the depths of the forests about unknown tribes, long journeys, events that could be completely real. Ranger's Apprentice is one of those books. I've read almost the entire series. I am 21 years old and I want to read adventure books suitable for my age. Wilbur Smith also writes books in this genre. what are your suggestions?

Check out the Conan books by Robert E Howard, there's TONS of Conan books. I also like Roger Zelazney's Amber series & Dragonlance / Ravenloft books but thats dipping into fantasy on those last ones.

Bernard Cornwell- he writes historical fiction. Real events and time with fake characters. I started with the grail quest trilogy with Archers Tale being the first.

If you are looking for non fiction adventure check out Lost City of the Monkey Gods, Unconquered or River of Darkness. All have to do with jungle exploration and isolated tribes. To me they are even more fascinating as they really happened.
