I don't know if it's funny, but one of the strangest names I've run across is Csaba Csere. It's pronounced Chubba Chetta. He a former editor-in-chief of Car and Driver magazine. He's of Hungarian descent.

I had a friend in south america that my group of friends nicknamed lil$h1t XD cause his job he told us was farming bat guano LMFAO. And he's also admittedly small in height. And no that nickname wasn't meant to be insulting just poking fun at his career choice.
