I never really had an issue with them. So long as it's not a dangerous type of spider, I simply leave it alone. Also I don't really fuss about house spiders. When their webs get too big I knock some down and leave them alone. Simply because they are a hell of a lot better at taking out fly's, mosquitoes or a gnats during the spring and summer months, then I am. So I'm not going to grab a fly swatter and chase the damn things around my place. I'm just going to more or less let a house spider do their job.
I think they serve two vital functions, the latter of which is teaching that friends and plotcectors are sometimes freaky looking. I'm calling it right now: if someone ever creates a talking spider, the first thing they'll have it say when it encounters people is "FEAR NOT".
I love spiders. Isn't that a beautiful photo? Of all our little neighbors of the field, none are feared and hated more than spiders, and few deserve it less.
I mean, when they make love, the female one bites off the head of the male.
Female spiders eat their children, and the born children kill and cannibalize each other when they are born till only a few are left.
They usually serve their mother/queen, females and males for awhile and bring her food, if any of them slack or tire, the others literally TORTURE, not just kill, but TORTURE it to death.
So eh yeah... they got it coming, they look like monsters because they ARE monsters.
@Alexis1313 Sufficient nutrition to produce eggs is important. If there is not plenty of food available, after he served his purpose, the male spider can help provide that nutrition. The female spider encases her eggs in a sack made of spider silk. She does not hang around and usually dies soon thereafter. Months later the eggs hatch and typically when it is warm the sack will open and release the babies. They climb up, release a strand of silk in a breeze and fly away; sometimes for hundreds of miles. They are not opposed to feeding on a sibling. Obviously, most do not survive long enough to reproduce. Otherwise, we would be knee deep in spiders.
I mean that's cool and all.
But how does any of that counter any of my points in any way?
You even mention "if not for this we'd be knee deep in spiders" suggesting, that you also do not want to be knee deep in spiders cause they suck.
This isn't about their numbers, it's that they legitimately by nature seem to be innately evil and have a lot of evil practises for creatures who don't seem to have any sentient thought.
@Alexis1313 We would be knee deep because of compounded. In any species that lays many eggs whether spiders, flies, or toads we would soon be knee deep if all their eggs to survived to reproduce. Whenever the birth or hatching rate is greater than the death rate the numbers increase and they stabilize when equal.
Spiders are not evil. I don’t believe evil would apply to any insect or arachnid but some can be very annoying; even harmful. Typically spiders are not harmful but they eat a lot of insects that are harmful such as flies, mosquitoes, and grasshoppers and other insects that feed on gardens and crops.
I don't particularly like them but as long as they're not too big or too fuzzy like the one in the pic then I can easily ignore them and I won't freak out.

This is the only Spider I like 😂😂
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
When I was a Little Kid i Had a friend that would eat Spiders 🕷 every now and again there was a spider in our Classroom.
And Tim would pick the spider 🕷 up and put it in his mouth. It was Quite strange
Cute! Kawaii! Did ya know some spiders pet and cuddle there young gah cute. Plus they eat all baddies.
I think very highly of them especially when they build amazing webs & catch flying vampires that like to bite.
They are good pets... as long they just stay outta my sight and out of my kitchen or somewhere where I gotta reach.
Spiders are good animals. It's a shame some of them are venomous.
I don't mind them in the barn or around outside at work, but I don't want them in my house. I always try to move them.
As long as they eat bugs, stay outside, and don’t make their webs where I walk, I don’t mind them. I don’t want to see them in my house though
I think they are amazing and possibly aliens...
also think when I catch them I toss them out.
Why do you think they are aliens?
@Aurora1010 Look at them. They are something to behold. Who knows what they are really thinking... kinda joking.
when I can I catch them inside and release, don't like to hurt em. give em a good life... eventhough one bit me not long ago, probably had a good reason.
I feel horrible for killing spiders 🕷 when they are probably more scared of us than us of them. Imagine being one and seeing a mostly hairless, tall being that only has two eyes and walks on two legs.
@Aurora1010 true, we are huge compared and frightening. I let them be and enjoy their spider lives. Ditto for bees.
I don't want them in my house. I know they're helping but, I can't. I am so glad I'm not in Australia.
Wonderful creatures. My hoover loves to pick them up!
I don't have a phobia of spiders, but I don't like them. That pic of one actually looks so cute 😂
I used to be shit scared of spiders when I was a kid. The big fuzzy ones still freak me out
I like them, especially jumping spiders and tarantulas.
The enemies of my enemies are my friends. Spiders eat mosquitos so I approve of them.
I think they're ok. As long as they're outside. I don't like knowing they're possibly crawling on me, while sleeping
The only thing intimidating about some spiders is how they move so fast. But pet spiders don't really scare me.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MorbID5LMd0 Looks ticklish, maybe I'd try this.
All arschnids: bigger the better. Kinda weird. But larger spiders can't even pierce your skin.
But black widows... dead in minutes.
Black widows don't bite people unless they are squeezed which people don't intentionally do. If they bite, their bites are harmful but their bites are almost never fatal.
They don't bother me at all. I see them all the time where I live.
Scary
Yes scary
Scary
I don’t like them
Blugh
Nothing lol they're just creatures but if they get in my way i kill them
I'm not scared of spiders but spider webs creep me out
They have my respect. If they respect me first.

They're cool! I just let them be that's it.
Spiders help control insects
A lot of legs and eyes.
