I love those or at least a subset. Se7en is one of my favorites along with Donnie Darko, Nightcrawler (Jake Gyllenhaal is damned good at those), The Game (Michael Douglas), Memento, Cosmopolis (I actually think it counts and is damned good, but it's going to be a divisive opinion), Possessor, VVitch, Lighthouse, Silence of the Lambs, Alien (I think the first one counts), Eternal Sunshine (why not?), The Autopsy of Jane Doe, etc.

There was a movie with Dustin Hoffman and William Devane called Marathon Man. It was really good.
