Like western shows I mean more female led action /thriller and more strong female characters. and more LGBT representation in mainstream manga/anime. most LGBT representation is in Yuri/yaoi they're niche shows and LGBT characters are extremely sexualized here. I mean LGBT lead characters in shows like demon slayer spy *family naruto. and more racially diverse characters especially dark skinned characters. There are plenty of dark skinned foreigners and mixed people living in Tokyo especially. and many anime take place in fiction world like naruto one piece. and there are many anime with white lead like attack on titan, spy * family, full metal alchemist.

The opposite, if anything. Having even MORE forms of media spread the message that you can only look up to/admire/relate to people who look like you is the LAST thing we need.

If people are really that bigoted, they need a reality check to remind them of the importance of our common humanity, and they need it NOW.

I'm not opposed to having more gay or dark-skinned or what-have-you characters in these depictions; I'm opposed to having more mindless demographic inserts to prop up mental illnesses. Would you complain about a lack of Eskimos in Journey the the West? Or a lack of Chinese people in the story of Mansa Musa? Hopefully not; what they hell would they be DOING there? Hollywood also does an abysmal job of representing gay people. Oh, they're fantastic at representing GAYS, but the "people" part tends to throw them; rarely do they manage to pull off a character who's actually a character, rather than an avatar of their sexuality.

Some stories just don't have certain types of people in them. If that really bothers you so much, you want want to ask yourself WHY.

In evangelion mc is half German and half Japanese. So why can't a mc be half African/middle Eastern/south East Asian/south Asian. Or why can't anime take place in Africa middle East South Asia Or South East Asia? they can even have a Japanese family adopt one. or actually show a chil of immigrants living in japan

Yeah why can't he be 5 different races all in one sorry not been more than half German and half Japanese is somehow inferior to that. Not many things are set in Africa in the first place including films shrugs if you wanna think of a good story for a Africa Manga then do it. But there are people of all races in many anime. Most fit and make sense to the reasoning. Attack on titan again every character was mostly German because it fits. Black Butler is obviously British. Black Lagoon is group of different races. Death note makes sense they would be mostly all Japanese because it's set in japan but even then it's not because Americans and other's do come into it. Yugioh is very themed in egypt fun. Castlevania may have the best ever black character ever.

No point worrying over diversity in anime, and if you are? Then be the change you want to see in the world go write one yourself. If that's a challenge for you, then you'll just have to leave it to amazingly talented writers who don't need some rubbish criticisms of their work that isn't actually a problem within their story.

There is tons of animes with strong female leads.. Hell the ones I mentioned have them. Attack on titan has pretty much every woman ya can think of. Black Lagoon Revy obviously. Castlevania has very cool three main vampire women. Yugioh has Mia.
Oh it's not like Hell girl exists at all... with many seasons. Not like magical girl.. is a whole genre... It's not like Another exist nah. Not like Tokyo Ghoul exists with Eto as one of the best female villains ever made, along with Touka and Rize existing.

Plenty of actresses are sexualised more than anime characters because anime ain't as big compared to real actresses in hollywood films. Anime is already very diverse, it's just that many shows don't get English dubs, or have a very small number of episodes, or they aren't very popular so you don't hear about them, you instead stumble in them.
