Trending & News I prefer GOOD shows; diversity isn't really a consideration of mine, since I relate to experience more than identity. If there's a limiting factor, it's that trying to shoehern in diversity rarely works out. Consider Star Wars: in A New Hope, the only female characters (outside of possibly aliens) with speaking parts are princess Leia and aunt Beru. I didn't notice that when I watched it, but you know who did? Timothy Zahn. So he created Mara Jade, a much beloved character, who was strong and powerful, but also flawed and human. Respectable AND relateable. Plus she had what's plobably my favorite lightsaber hilt, but that's kind of incidental.
Who else noticed was Kathleen Kennedy, who created... Rey. A character who was powerful for no reason, with no training, no flaws or weaknesses or vulnerabilities (despite coming from a desert, she knows how to swim, and well? Okay...). This is, sadly, what's far more typical of the writing of those pushing for "diversity".
Dverse shows are really fake. The networks are tripping over themselves to show how liberal they are. Everyone is gay, you have multi racial couples. Then you have multi racial gay couples. I shudder to think what comes next. Just go back to when people were just people.
I prefer diverse shows, but only if they're well-written. For example, Owl House by Dana Terrace.
Bi female lead, pan colead, amazingly cool non-binary people, people of colour and various body shapes (literally non-human in many cases, lol). Amazing story, moments of truly beautiful animation, and really phenomenal worldbuilding.
And it deals with some really heavy and dark themes, from mind control and fascism, to imprisonment and child experiments.
But then you have things like the remake of Ghostbusters where... It just falls flat. It's pandering in the worst ways (objectifying Chris Hemsworth, while understandable, is not the solution to objectifying women, it's just hurting men - and wasting Hemsworth's talents).
Yeah I definitely prefer diverse shows, it's far more interesting. That's one of the reasons why I'm always watching shows from other countries, instead of watching shows from where I live.

I prefer good shows. Ones that dont compromise the story for the sake of preaching politics.
I don't care if the characters are black, red, yellow, straight, crooked, or whatever. I care that the writers put time and effort to make the character feel real and believable.
I watch the show Kung Fu on CW. They're not very diverse though. It's all Asians and one White guy, lol.
The only other White guys are the random goons that Nicky beats up.
Not specifically but feel all one race shows are racist and out of control!
A show need only be good. No need for forced diversity.
I love diverse shows. What enrages me more than anything is shows with a diverse cast.
I'm just kidding, I only care if it's a good show.
i actively don't watch shows that have diversity in them
I do but they have to be good shows
