Yes. I've owned one BEFORE it was cool! BEFORE gas was $6.00 a gallon, LOL!

At most, they only get like 30 miles per hour though, and are generally around 15 miles per hour unless you're really gunning it. You'll also have to carry a backpack if you want to go grocery shopping or carry anything with you.

I have two, one in the US, and one here in South Korea (that cost me so damn much because I refused to buy products made in China). I got a smaller, foldable e-bike in the US for easy storage space, as I was living in a small place, at the time. I can't say if they're "worth it" or not, but I like owning one far better than a car.

I've never wanted a car based on the horsesh*t mandatory auto insurance, alone. So even if I'm not working or using it, I'm expected to pay $150-200 a month on auto insurance anyway? Screw that! That's not even counting gas, oil, maintenance, and parking. Cars are a giant money-sink, to me. A second form of rent. I've never wanted a car unless it was a hybrid or didn't require insurance. Other than rent, paying for something every month whether I use it or not, is a giant scam to me. And now, all you poor souls have to worry about gas hitting $7 a gallon by August.

Yeah, I'll stick with my e-bike.

What bikes have you tried and what didn't you like about them?

Way better investment than a car rn. If you're not that experienced with bikes then get a cheapie analog bike and see how u like it. Try your commute out first since a lot of cites in the states aren't built for bikes yet.

I won't have my car for awhile so I really only need it to get to work and back. I can take mostly back roads to get there. Gas is crazy expensive anyway, and I thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to some exercise in but I'm not going to pretend that I'm in great shape. That's why an electric bike would be perfect.
