I recognized this from Fight Club. He looks like a cannibal.

It’s actually from a music video by a group called prodigy, but maybe one chose to copy the other. I have never seen the fight club though, I don’t like movies about angry people.

It has probably been used in many soundtracks. Fight Club had Brad Pitt and Edward Norton in it. Set in the 90s of contemporary America, the protagonist was a schizophrenic who had become disenchanted with American society. He critiqued modernism suggesting the comfortable life style Americans had created for themselves had emasculated men. He quoted “We’re a generation of men raised by women.”. He also pushed anti-consumerism. He started underground boxing clubs which rapidly expanded into a domestic terrorist network across the country. They sought to tear down both private and public sectors to return us to a subsistent level of living. In the world he saw, we all wore the same leather clothes that lasted the rest of our life. In that world, all humanity did was manually harvest crops for sustenance. He developed schizophrenic manifestation or as an alter ego as a way of coping with his mundane, suffocating life. This hallucinated man was his projection of how he wanted to see himself, and it represented his emasculation and what he felt had been taken from him in today’s society.

It’s a dark movie with an existential theme. About a man searching for putpose.
