It does serve them right, but I have watched some actually good NetFlix programming, and to their credit they appear to have gotten the message and they apparently pulled the plug on a lot of Leftist crap. I still have to decide to renew my subscription or not.
Netflix DOES have some great history documentaries and docudramas with historical enactors (real history, NOT Demunist Commiecrat Hate Western Civilization Propaganda Studies you get at all too many campuses today), and it does have "Bojack Horseman", one of the most surprisingly thought provoking adult cartoons ever. But I can see the "hate Whitey and hate America" crap pop up from time to time, and it irks.
I am reminded of HBO, which would entice me with a good mini series like Band of Brothers or The Pacific, but then having done that, they would turn into "Gay-Bee-Oh" with the implied "you must pack the fudge" message. Or alternatively, they would ruin a series with potential, like "Deadwood", with silly and gratuitous profanity, to the point where my girlfriend and I would call it "The Cocksucker Show", and we would actually sit with a notepad and pencil and make tally marks counting the number of times in any episode they would say it. And I LIKE Westerns:
Followup: The video that the OP posted points the finger to the REAL culprit: the agenda driven financiers of The BlackRock Group. Sad that so few people know so little about this frankly utterly sinister organization. They ARE the Bond villains of fiction brought to life.
Yeah. I never liked the concept of having to subscribe and pay just to get certain shows.
That's actually kind of true. My coworkers have it, so sometimes I'll watch it with them. They have some good movies on there and some good original series and comedy specials, but not enough to make me willing to pay as the rest of it is shit.
I'm against streaming services in general. I'm one of those people who will sign up for Amazon Prime to watch one of their movies, then cancel my subscription right afterwards😂
I just don't like the way those people do business, like how they basically monopolize certain programming forcing you to pay for a subscription. And now Discovery is even doing it.
The mobile services are the worst. I don't wanna watch it on a tiny screen.
Netflix effect, people sign up for one month, binge watch whatever they want... then cancel. Only reason for me is a new season of Stranger Things, the ONLY show I actually like or watch on Netflix.
Of course if I can get someone else's login info to 'borrow' for a few days, even better.
@Aerissa_Jade I heard they got pissed off about that and were trying to change their guidelines to prevent that.
"Stranger Things" was one of the shit shows I was talking about, but "she" likes that show, so I watched it with her
Thanks for MHO
yah, they DID change their subscription terms.
If they were truly dying I'd love but they still doing good, just losing business... they can still stabilize and turn things around though. They are big enough that it will take years to go out of business.
Here is to hoping that Disney, Hollywood and Netflix all go out of business.
Yes, I cancelled my Netflix account.
I only re-opened it because it came free with the cell phone company that I switched to.
I would never pay them directly for it.
They are a bunch of pedo's and criminals as far as I am concerned.

I've got a mixed opinion on them. The price increases are starting to get ridiculous, they cancel the good shows after one season for some stoopid reason and some of their content is repetitive. They would do better to get more classic TV shows like they used to. On the flip side, they do strike gold with some series more than not and they do have a good bit of content. I'm guessing they won't die officially but that someone else will buy them out if things get rough, like Amazon or Apple.
What's killing Netflix is the fact that the content has been watered down so much by other streaming service start ups.
No new Star Trek or Star Wars content,,, Disney... even some old TV series have gone away... It's just less bang for your buck, PLUS you would have to subscribe to several more streaming services to recover what walked away
I am. And it has nothing to do with politics. They were supposed to be a company that allowed people to rent movies to watch. ACTUAL movies. Produced by legitimate Hollywood film studios. If I wanted original content, I would have just gone to YouTube.
my happiness does not depend on things like this... lol
I'm happy my cats are enjoying the summer more than I do... lmao, now that makes me happy
An a vehement opponent of HTML 5 EMEs, I'm always happy to see one of their supporters get bitten for it- but watch that they're not replaced by something worse!
Yes. They should have removed Cuties when they had the chance
No, I like Netflix. It has good content, including Netflix's own shows, at reasonable prices.
Yes, it has lost members, but I'm hoping it doesn't die.
There is no such saying, but if it makes you feel better, you can say it to yourself. IF Netflix goes under, it will be due to bad management and not much else.
Bad management encompasses all such things, if said programming is indeed a factor. They're a factor to YOU, but your dislike of them is not a reason by itself for financial failure. No one on Netflix is forced to watch what you call "politically correct, preachy programs". They can choose other content, so if subscribers are leaving, it's because they don't like the "other content" enough to pay for it.
Is Netflix really going to die? I hardly ever find anything good on it. I have seen a couple of good things on Prime and I haven't even seen the new season of The Boys yet.
It’s been pretty good lately, actually. All the new episodes for shows have rocked.
Stranger things
The Last Kingdom
Virgin River
Lock and key
British baking show’s new seasons are always good.
To name just a small few.
I'm not, they made some great shows. Put out some fantastic documentaries. They're original content was pretty badass
I liked Netflix in the past but once they went with original content like TV shows, movies, I cancelled. Plus the price going up was another thing.
They're not dying. They're just losing audience to better streaming services and it's all because of their own actions.
I don't really believe they are dying. But I wish them so, unless they don't change their policies.
I get the utmost satisfaction when any of these greedy businesses start sinking.
Doesn't really phase me , I have never really liked that many Shows and Movies on Netflix.
I still watch it. I think when they raised the price in lockdown everyone got mad
"Go woke, go broke."
LOL
What a bunch of horseshit!
No, you are ignorant but I will cut you slack because you are young and haven't noticed the changes.
When I was a kid in the 1960s, you NEVER saw people of color on TV unless they were in menial jobs or roles. And, you only saw a handful in the movies such as Sidney Poitier. But, in the 1960s when the Civil Rights movement was in full-swing, there was a wokeness then and society began to change. You had Black and Hispanic people/characters leading entire shows watched by millions of White folks every week. These shows didn't fade away... they were hits... In other words, the "woke" producers like Norman Lear didn't go broke, but made millions and have a lasting legacy. This is why you see such diverse casts in movies and television now. So much so, it has become so normal that no one thinks it should be otherwise. Yet, if you were to transport an adult from the year I was born, 1963, to today, they would be shocked at how diverse the culture has become. For racists like you or the KKK or most of the MAGA ilk, that may have been a nightmare, but for visionaries like Martin Luther King Jr., Gene Roddenberry, or Norman Lear, our current multiethnic society is almost where they dreamed it would be, but even they would recognize that there is still a way to go.
"... racists like you..."
Don't give me that garbage. What's being actively promoted now on services like 'Netflix' isn't just harmless ideas like racial equality, but pernicious notions of guilt about the past for crimes committed by our ancestors, equality of outcomes, the alleged evils of capitalism, gender confusion, and moral relativism.
@abc3643 You know when you shit out five paragraphs of text you confirm their accusation that you’re just another triggered shitlib leftie.
The claims of racism though are they cherry on top. You’re like a cartoon character. Stick a rainbow flag in your ass and wave it around for the boys at MSNBC why don’t you. 😂
You do know that historical revisionism, and efforts to promote white guilt and shame for the crimes of people we didn't even know, is a problem in Australia as well, don't you? It isn't just in the United States and Canada that this atrocious rubbish is promoted, so yes, I'm Australian, and the lefties here are even more feral and deranged than they are in California. So yes, the past crimes committed by OUR ancestors!
Now stop being such a jackass and actually make some sense here. So far you've just been trolling, because I just can't believe that anyone could actually be as profoundly retarded as you seem to be here.
Its not dying.
They expected that to happen due to Covid.
I didn’t know that?
Not really no
