I've only ever seen him actively kidnap Princess Peach (and Mario that one time). Maybe in other games like Smash Bros, where he kidnaps Princess Zelda, but I don't count those because they're not *Mario games.* And if he wanted to get "funky," he probably would have probably done it... unless Peach was quiet about it.

His main reason for kidnapping Peach in particular is because he's a King (of Koopas, anyway) and wants to rule the Mushroom Kingdom, perhaps through marriage since Peach is a princess and not a queen yet. Why she hasn't married the local plumber by now baffles me, but then again, it's just a game with a harmless trope.
