What’s your favorite funny movie?

I just watched a few episodes of the new Jeffrey Dahmer series and now I need to watch something that’s a little more cheery lol. Any suggestions?

Well, have to admit, that I have two tied for first place. Also, mine are sort of a trip down memory lane in the sense that both are 1980s movies. Still, there has been nothing like them since.

So, Ferris Bueller's Day Off and the original Ghostbusters would be my winners, hands down. Nothing else comes close.

Ferris Bueller (1986) is effortless escapism. Sort of what every high school kid imagines that they would want to do if they skipped school for a day. Adding to this are supporting characters - especially Ferris' best friend Cameron - who you can relate to in a comedic sort of way.

Next up is the original Ghostbusters. (1984) Given that you just got finished watching a grim horror film, this may be the perfect antidote. Besides, when the Stay-Puff Marshmallow Man makes his debut, you'll never view monsters in quite the same way ever again.

A runner up might be Risky Business, with Tom Cruise. It is funny, but has a bit more of a satiric bight than the other two. Still, it has some good laughs.

Still, for genuine humor and effortless escapism, nothing, before or since, beats Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Ghostbusters. Trust me, these will make you forget Dahmer in short order.

Well I'd say go for Naruto (anime) or TBBT (sitcom). They're really good ! Well to point out sth cheery I'd suggest you go for Naruto !
