Suggest a gripping novel which is 13+?

It should be something which is like dramatic and filled with emotions. Something which you would like to binge on. And I want to try reading books of my age, something new than Ruskin Bond. It should be clean and poetic though. It will be good if you say few lines about the story in the book but no spoilers please. Better if it is a novel series!

Lately I was thinking of reading 'It ends with us' but I heard it contains a heavy usage of slangs.

Ken Follet's trilogy The Pillars of The Earth. It's a dramatic, sweeping saga about a village in England. Love, battles, history, building of a cathedral, witches, etc. Wonderful read. There are three books there and then a subsequent prequel.

Well I am not novels so I don't know much. Yes I have heard there is a novel named " Waterworld" but I am not sure how interesting that would be to read.

I know I may not like many of the suggestion but through that suggestions I may discover something I may like. I haven't really developed a taste so I'm willing to read anything expect fantasy, it's just not my type.

As with movies, I like to pick titles that are a bit older. So they have passed the test of time.

Romeo and Juliet kind of stuff isn’t that much in my field but you’re looking beyond that like a Chad then here I am. Though it’ll probably be at least 1.5 years before the official release so……

You mean 'It ends with us'? I heard it's quite a romantic and heartbreaking novel but with heavy street-talk language. 'It starts with us' is it's sequel. I thought of reading it when I turn 16.

Nope, its a Lovecraft esque novel, with themes of rape, murder, deception and substance abuse.
