Nobody is currently touching Michael Jackson’s popularity and revenues. The gap is so enormous it may never happen. This is borderline miraculous considering the global population is increasing.
If anyone else does officially attain “King of Pop”, Jackson should automatically graduate to “God of Pop”. Doubters and haters be damned. Don’t like it? Dismantle capitalism. I’ll wait. Ell oh ell!

Michael Jackson was a talented artist but his reputation has been severely tainted. We all know the reason why, no point spelling it out. I think record companies see an opportunity to get the public to accept someone else as "king". That kind of rep is worth money.
