Anyone else dislike the trope of fake goth gets with dumbass but cute normie or it is just me?

The most obvious example is Raven and Beast boy.
I'm hoping Wednesday new Netflix series really don't do this if not I'll love it otherwise eh I'm hoping they go full on her been just dark or at least smart enough to not worry about opinions.
Qualities Raven don't have.

Well like I said. She's a fake goth. She shows no qualities of just been dark or not caring about other opinions, for example she majorly gets embarrassed when someone is onto her about liking my little ponies.
A real goth wouldn't give a shit and say "Yeah so what I like what I like." and not hide it. Or just wouldn't like it anyway.

Also she gets with the one guy who keeps complimenting her over and over. Who keeps boosting her confidence showing her goth persona was just out of insecurity and daddy issues which we all know is true because her daddy is basically Satan.
