Words are contextual and meanings are made up along with an obvious example is Shakespeare just randomly created words.
So personally I don't see any opposition how about you?

Depending on the sources you look at, there are over a million words in the English language, about 171,000 in common use, and each person's average is 20,000 to 30,000. So, on the one hand, not sure we need more words. On the other hand, no problem IF it contributes to the story. If it's just because the writer is cute or trying to be Shakespeare, they'll not only turn me off from the word itself, but it will color my entire view of the story and that author.
In my case it just comes naturally. I put words there that by dictionary meaning wouldn't make sense. But what I am trying to say makes sense due to the context. Somewhat like a metaphor but not quite.
Plus a lot words that I though existed but I actually come to find there always not a word really.
Ask my friend Wendy! :)
There are apparently about a million words in the English language (give or take a couple of hundred thousand), but people only know 40,000 and use just half of them. Most of them must have been made up at some point.
It’s called “artistic license” and it’s not just a free-for-all. If you can’t write the word in artfully such that its meaning can be derived by your audience from context cues alone, then your just writing nonsense.
Geezus…. ‘you’re’, not “your”!
Ell oh ell!
@Chazmatazz269 ... it sounds as if you're reminiscing for your days of yore.
