I would personally avoid Colleen Hoover, I don't hear the best about her books but I probably would've liked them when I was younger.
The seven husbands of evelyn hugo always gets good reviews so maybe that
Violet 1942 by Whitfield Cook
You may find it on eBay or Amazon. com for about $50. It may be best to go to the library and request it via inter library loan.
My favorite all time would be the Hyperion Cantos by Dan Simmons, though another enjoyable and eye opening book is Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. If you're going to read Project Hail Mary, I'd recommend the audio version, as you'll miss an interesting dimension of the book if you don't have the sound effects.

"Don't sleep there are snakes" I found interesting, it's a true story about a missionary who goes to convert a isolated Amazon tribe and learn the language as no one has understood it
Of those, or overall? Overall I would recommend looking at books recommended by your favorite authors. Also if you have a kindle, and it has ads, that's a great way. My dad got me a kindle with ads because it was cheaper until he realized that I actually read and pay attention to the ads. He's paid more for the books I found through the ads than he would have if he paid for one without ads.
YES! You should check out Family of Liars and its sequel We Were Liars by E. Lockhart. Failing that, try anything from Ken Follett.
