Why are a 2018 Dodge Challenger and 2018 BMW M2 at the Mecum auction?

I was under ther impression that the Mecum auction was special.

Well both cars are special, the Demon being a limited production run and was the most powerful challenger there ever was as a production muscle car with 840hp. And the M2 being rare.

Ok, that makes more sense about the Dodge. An M2 doesn't seem impressive, but maybe since it's rare.
